What are people's thoughts on this? Should it be a standard feature on the likes of E-Class, S-Class etc?

Personally I think it's a rather smart idea. I'm surprised it's not more widespread in the model range.

Magic Vision Control is something that's appeared as standard on the SL-Class. It combines the waterbottle and wipers into one unit.

Demo here:

And.....yes....the lady might be handy to get a better look :p

I think it's excellent but sadly it's probably going to be a ****** expensive option!

Looks cool but standard washers/wipers work well so its probably a feature on the high end flagship cars like S class, CL etc,

I can only find it has standard on the SL-Class at the moment. Can't see the option even available on S, CL, CLS, E etc.

Am I missing something? The washer jets are in the blades?

Rally cars have been routing washer fluid this way for years

According to MB, Magic Vision Control is the world’s first adaptive windscreen wash system. Whatever that is?

I've rented run off the mill cars in the US for years that had this feature? I don't see anything new here other than the MB system appears to use less water than the ones I've used, but the principle is just the same.

About the same price as the non required blade change at Service A that MB sneak on the sales invoice :D

As mentioned above, a standard fit on basic US cars from back in the 80's, nothing new.

Why not KISS? More parts to go wrong IMHO.

My Dad's 1978 Lincoln Continental had this. As have various vans I have hired in the UK over the years.

The Mercedes marketing boys are up to their old tricks again. Namely:

Just to be clear, if I buy that feature, hot young things will write their numbers on my windscreen??
As long as Mercedes specify the quality and quantity of attractive young ladies who are guaranteed to show an interest in me, I should think £627 is a bargain Malc!
