While it was an OK day i tried to do a couple of small jobs, and they were not as easy as I thought. :(
Firstly, touching up a few stone chips and secondly wrapping the chrome on the boot, here's the results.

Hi.

Wouldn't it be easier to remove the Chrome Strip and then Wrap it?

Touch Up aint too bad.

Have you seen this? Not saying to follow to the letter, but some techniques & idea's are good.

Yep probably would if I knew how to get the chrome strip off.

Not too sure on your particular model, but you'll most probably have to remove the trim inside the bootlid to get to the fasteners holding it on.
Mmm, i will have a look, I've already had the inside boot trim off when I fitted the Mercedes black badge, never thought to look to see if the chrome strip came off easily, but I will now. :)

If I remember rightly, getting that chrome boot trim off is a right pain.
I had a quick look when i replaced my boot badge.
You have to remove the boot locking system!! More trouble and likely hassle if it all goes “Pete Tong” so I wrapped it in situ.

The touch up isn’t bad, you just need to keep filling and smoothing, filling and smoothing ....it’s a patience thing (not that I have any these days)- agreed on the wrap though, that’s a real shame but it will need to come off to do it properly (just don’t know how?)

With the stone chips it is a bit of a leap of faith breaking out the wet and dry.
I tried it on the bonnet and was amazed after re-polishing the clear coat.
