A very nice R129. These old cars are so much more substantial than their newer counterparts. No surface rust anywhere to be seen!

This one is in for an MOT and an electrical alarm fault.

I do love my 129. I prefer it in many ways to the 230. There's no doubt the 230 is more capable and corners faster but the 129 has a certain something missing from the later car.

Working on both, its clear to see. I agree completely

There is a robustness and simplicity in the older car that gives it an air of indestructibility. I think also the steering box means subtly you need to actually drive the car more, rather than the car drive you. Makes it a more involving experience.

90s electrics and electronics, vacuum heater vent control, hydraulic roof controls and the wear and tear of time... All takes it's toll.

The benefit is solid build quality materials (in the main)

electronics !! sorrio... but at least all the wriggles are out there and expense of understood.
