If it’s running fine then the engine will be ok, I’m presuming it’s not “lumpy” and you don’t have any lights on the dash you shouldn’t have. Take it for a decent run- 70 mph for an extended period and see what it’s like then.
Your consumption is very poor but in stop start traffic that’s about what it should be.

My 911 I could get 10mpg from on a really good day and 33 mpg on a bad one...

Guys, I got my 2015 GLA45 fore more than a year and been serviced once back in August last year, I think my fuel consumption been high since day one, I used to get 18mpg. Now I get 13mpg, always in C mode and my daily route is 12miles a day and 1/4 is uphill traffic no more than 10mins. What you guys think? What could be wrong?

What are your tank averages?

"Urban mpg: 34 mpg
Extra Urban: 50.4 mpg
Average mpg: 42.8 mpg"

You will get nowhere near these figures, as they are unreaslistic.

It depends on how and where you drive. We live in a rural area and average around 45 mpg in the winter and better in the summer. We also get 60 mpg+ on the motorway from our C220 Cdi 6 speed manual estate but I don't often exceed 60 mph or 2000 rpm and don't accelerate or brake hard.

My style of driving would probably drive many people nuts. I'm old now but have driven this way for many years, I was doing 30k miles a year at times when I was working but I found that driving in the slow lane with the lorries gave me a much more restful drive, didn't take much longer and I arrived at my destination relaxed.

Better for fuel consumption, better for wear and reliability and better for me.

Hi All

One of the reasons I chose to purchase a GLA45 AMG is that on the review sites, and places like Autotrader, the fuel economy listed for the car is roughly:

Urban mpg: 34 mpg
Extra Urban: 50.4 mpg
Average mpg: 42.8 mpg

I've had my 2015 GLA45 for several months now and I'm not getting anywhere near that economy. I'm averaging around 29MPG according to the trip computer. Even if I undertake a motorway journey, with cruise control set at around 68mph, I'm still only getting 34mpg.

Has anyone else experienced this? Does anyone manage to get the claimed fuel economy? I can't decide if there's a fault with the car or the claimed economy is false.

Any experiences would be much appreciated!

Justin.
Try not using cruise control, using it makes the car continuously accelerate where it may not be needed! Seems to work for me on my E class!

I had already come to that conclusion with previous cars, but thanks anyway.

Can anyone tell me how the ride compares between the 203 and 204, I find the 203 a bit hard compared with my Peugeot 406, although the 406 I bought recently has 16 inch tyres and that's hard compared with the old one with 15s, I see its an option on the 203 but not apparently on the 204.
