Hi all, wondering if anyone can tell me if this will work with my 2008 W164 with Comand APS with DVD changer.

I saw that a popular way was to use an old style iPod cable and a bluetooth adapter but this appears to be an all in one unit now?

Thanks, I’m not too fond of FM transmission devices really.

I have been pointed towards a WMA3000A unit that plugs into the media port.. seems like a good solution, if not a bit expensive

Do you have the mount thing in the arm rest?

This is looking like the most likely solution currently:

There is a secret engineering menu you can access to enable audio streaming... despite MB dealer telling me it's not possible.

if the hardware is new enough.... not all do it, I didn't see the menu to enable... surely its a software update (on late enough hardware) that allows it to work

and if the dealer says not, he's either clueless and doesn't know what he's on about…. or a liar

I have just completed a install though I have a 2007 CLK with the command system installed (without Ipad install) So to Start with there is a unit from ebay which claims it fits but you will need to mod it slightly it also came with some instructions which tell you where to look to install it as a aux connector (this is where you need to do the mod) I had to very carefully remove the pins and jam them into the reverse of the Aux socket. then pair to my phone for audio only (as the command deals with the phone) it sounds great BUT I DID HAVE AN ISSUE WITH MINE.. the issue was left side worked fine right side seems low BUT I HAVE A FIX get a old headphone jack and plug it into the aux port and unplug it slightly (makes a earth) then hey presto full sound all around..
This Is the one I bought https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/For-Merc...-UK/223218366617?_trksid=p2485497.m4902.l9144

Conor / Botus, indeed there is! Certainly on my A207 with NTG4. I had to activate bluetooth streaming in that 'hidden' menu and only found it by chance while looking at hidden menus from a post I found here! None of those settings I particularly wanted to or have changed except bluetooth streaming, which guess what, meant I could play music from the phone. Possibly OP's system is earlier though and doesn't have capability? Worth a look but as others before me have warned, beware of changing anything in those hidden menu's you don't understand! Saying all that, I play music from a USB stick in the glovebox via the media plug in so actually haven't used BT streaming!!
