HI guys does anyone know the location of the temperature sensor for the cooling fan on 2010 e350 engine??
My fan is constantly running so car is sounding like my old e60 tractor right now
I have added photos of the engine so if anyone can point it out that would be much appreciated

The usual cause for this is a failed fan controller. The controller is built into the fan itself.

This can also be caused by the sensor aswell though right? So how do I know which is the culprit?

So I have gone ahead and changed the radiator fan with a brand new one from Mercedes, changed the coolant temperature sensor, new fuse and switched around the relays but the fan is still coming on straight away on a cold start

Same thing happens on a warm start aswell. Temperature goes up to 90 and coolant level is ok and nothing is coming up on diagnostic

Smart + others :)
You need to get it on a star and stop guessing and fitting parts which are not needed.

I should really but it was worth a try. my ac is working fine and the fan is activated when ac is turned on. I have noticed that the fan doesn't actually stay on but just continuously comes on and off but is still coming on after a cold start

I have this exact problem! Never had anything like this on a variety of cars! I imagine this is a regular issue on w212 e350?
