Of the six bolts securing the cover over the spark plugs on my M104.922 engine, only three bite, the remainder spin loose.
I'm curious as to whether this has an effect on the ability for the ignition coils to remain firmly in place...?
I started the car yesterday to a misfire and wonderful smell of unburnt fuel. I took the cover off, re-seated the plugs and all seemed well thereafter. I don't know whether it helped, or whether it was just coincidence... but it does make me wonder whether I should get this fixed.
