Hi
I have a beautiful 1967 250 se w108 Merc which i've owned for the past 9 years only with 3 manual gears! should have 4! after searching for years and finding an exact match gearbox it sadly suffered the same problem , 4th gear missing! what are the chances!? so we took both gearboxes to another specialist to have them make one good gearbox out of two bad and what luck .. the warehouse they were In suffered a huge fire . so goodbye to any hope that we would have a working original with 4 manual gears back in the old girl!
So.…I was wondering if anyone knows if any other model Merc of this age would fit !? if so what would also need to be changed/replaced in order for this to work ?Please excuse my lack of intelligence on this subject .. im a female! any advice would be most welcome.
