Good afternoon,
One has a SL600 R230 and the red button in the boot that lifts the roof up a smidge, allowing access to ones luggage, has ceased to operate.
James the chauffeur usually looks at these things but is on his annual holiday so I'm all a tither as what to do...does anyone know a good chauffeur...
;-)

Welcome Paul, pics or we won’t believe you!
Anyway, trying to remember now if this is connected to the PSE pump or not, I’ll rack my brains further....

Smart + others :)
Make sure the boot lid is fully open, I keep reminding my chauffeur how to do it. ;)

very nice. mine was obesian black and charcoal grey interior. you should enjoy that this model is one of the all time best looking and if one can keep it electronically sound and serviced it WILL be a real classic in 20 yr. if you dont have it i can recommend a version of "star" and the effort to become reasonably familiar with it. will save you a small fortune. liftcar (3).JPG

Also check the connector hasn't fallen off the back of the switch. Easy done....

Make sure that the boot separator has not become dislodged.

Was looking at this kit....you reckon its worth getting as they say the real thing is expensive and the knock offs are useless...?

I mean in relation to the amount of times it would get used vs going to a garage and getting it done...

there are a number of us using it and whilst not without the odd issue i am very happy and it has saved me 10x its cost.
