Can anybody shead any light on the fact that my dab on my 2015 c class is completely useless and cuts out every couple of minutes. My local dealer seems to think telling me they just do that is an acceptable answer. Please help

Hello and welcome

Shouldn’t do, mine never has, I’d be looking at the antenna - antenna amp for a fault.

Where are you located? Some areas do have patchy reception.

Check current wiring / aerial connectors in case it’s just poor connectors jiggling as you drive along?

Are there tests the OP can do to check output of the amp before starting to swap out components?

A150 manual, smart forTwo, W205 AMG line premium plus.
First thing to do is to remove any 12V/USB type adapters you have in the car (dashcams etc). Cheap items are renowned for destroying DAB signals.

Second thing to do is to get the firmware in the DAB controller right up to date. There were a lot of problems with early releases.

If that doesnt fix it then it could be the antenna amplifier which is in the headlining adjacent to the rear window. Antenna is built into the rear window.
Some cars have had the DAB antenna cable that runs from the amp to the controller changed which apparently has helped.
