W216 - CL500 ABC Help!

Hi all, I have a w216 Cl500 blueefficiency 2010 model, last night while driving I had a message come up on the dash saying "ABC Malfunction" ...the car rides extremely bouncy like a clown car, when I pulled over to look the front right is fully extended to its highest point but all other three corners are as they should be. I have tried pressing the button on the dash several times to raise and lower the car, the front right remains fully extended and will not lower and raise but the three remaining corners of the car raise and lower as per normal???? any advice on what this could be??? Thanks

Where in the U.K. are you based? It sounds like you have a failed strut height sensor but you will need a Star system diagnosis to confirm.

Budget for a £1k fix...

that's a nice start to a Wednesday morning :rolleyes: ...I'm down High Wycombe way, have a local independent down here maybe I will drop it over to them and see what they say... thanks for the reply

High Wycombe, you can go to Wayne Gates in Harrow as the closest, they know ABC very well.

Just dropped off to a local independent ,now the wait for the phone call tomorrow with the results o_O

I would hazard a guess at a bad sensor or stuck valve.

So 2 new rods and she’s back as good as new :) and just £388 :) happy with that

I’ve just walked in. 29.2mpg average and not one single instance of the tyres clicking on the wheel arches!

Super excellent news, I believe we are both as chuffed as one another! Cant beat a bit of out the box thinking on occasion.

Was good seeing you yesterday, sorry about the length of time overall and I hope you understand.

As I said above these things are sent to try us.....never give up. Works with fixing Mercedes-Benz and personal health.

Seen a few have made comments on here about time taken but it will improve now,I'm over the worst of it.

Length of time taken was not your fault Phil, this end result is a good example of garage and customer working together to resolve a problem. Not everything can be handed by just dropping the keys off and picking up the car when it’s ready. Schedules and priorities change all the time.
