Hello all,

A friend of mine has a 2013 W176 180 petrol. He is in need of replacing the thermostat on the car as it is leaking coolant. Could someone point me in the right direction of the offending article please?

Am I right to believe that it is a manifold off job?

Many thanks

Yes it looks like a lot of items are tucked out of place to make it hard to extract them .Like the coolant pumps on the old W124 260 and 300 range you have to remove a few items just to see the pump never mind to get the pump off .

What about the temp sensor? That one needs doing as well, but no idea where that lives. Would someone be able to assist please?

is this is an A class engine then this is the location but i can see that coolant temp sensor is not removable with out lifting the engine .A class motors are a pig to work on due to the size , and everything is packed in.
