View attachment 50940 Today I had a delightful and sometimes spirited drive down to Bude in Cornwall. The weather was perfect. Could not have the roof down because we has two cases, the dogs bits and pieces his crate, his bedding, his toys, and food, my wife’s need for extra towels and her handbag, (which tested the suspension) food for the weekend, a crate of beers abirtday cake that my wife’s daughter bought her and a helium ballon...however the view is worth it...

Please help put my mind at ease as it is working overtime, where did you put the dog?? !

The Dog, damn! I knew we forgot something...Ziggy sleeps in the footwell
On long journeys occasionally sitting on my wife’s lap if the windows are open, he loves the breeze...

Only thing is they’ll be black within a month ( ask me how I know ?), meantime look fabulous ! I have bad knees too so last time I took them off to do ( Tip from Daveenty didn’t know they were just held on with a torx!)

I used the same heat resistant paint I used for the supercharger. Hopefully they will be easier to keep clean with some soapy water. I will look at taking them off and redoing them properly. They were rushed a bit because my knees were giving me gype

I have a video of Ziggy enjoying a drive with the roof down, sadly I don’t know how to download it. If Jane is working, Ziggy and I will often go for a roof down drive...He and the car get lots of attention...

Today we took the 251 to Costco. On the way back we spotted another, identical black R320 turning across our path. Joy was had as both sets of drivers & passengers pointed to each other with a “Look! Just like us! That’s a rare sight!” and waved.

So if anyone was on the A509 just outside Olney in Beds today at or around 1500hrs in a black 251 LWB... hello!
