Will have a good look when I pick it up next week and see what's in the boot:rolleyes:
Have you done an engine check?

It's not just space savers. If your car has alloys and a steel spare you need the shorter bolts too.

The user manual just says "make sure you use the correct size bolts for the wheel" I don't ever remember having two sets of bolts, just the black box that contained the 4 spare bolts that were replaced by the locking wheel nuts.

Your space saver takes the standard bolt

Jimbo estimates an hour per wheel cleaning time, in the polishing thread, I recon he’d need three hours on that wheel. !!
Sorry Andy. :D:D:D
I know, the wheels are shocking. Not helped by visiting a few farms with the family.

image.jpeg image.jpeg image.jpeg image.jpeg RfShe's home! What an amazing car and so solid!

The spare is a space saver and has a pack of bolts sealed in their plastic case. The locking wheel nuts are on the car with the bolt in the black case.

Even the plastic wind deflector has the mercedes cover in the boot along with the mesh cover which has never been used.

Looking back in the history it has been serviced every year by Mercedes (9 stamps) until 2016 when it was serviced by an independent and MOT'd, used up until 2017 then sorned until Jan 2019 when it was MOT'd. Has done 300 miles since so although the garage I bought it from has MOT'd it again and done an oil change I am going to get the atf and plugs and a general check over.

I looked up the original spec using the vin and was amazed to see how many options it had, although I am relieved that they include a steering wheel and axles! My fave feature is still the Harmon Kardon, although it took me a while to find the windscreen wipers on the way back! Still to discover the trip meter and various dash settings.

Thanks, still a bit nervous of it. Had V6's before (Golf 4motion and Nissan 350z) but this is in a different league. Just so solid and feels very expensive.....as it must have been from new!

Just warm it up before caning it and check the engine against the list I posted and you’ll be fine
