Mercedes E350CDI 2011 turbo problem?

At times the sound of the engine changes and with that the heater fans turn on and you can hear weird sounds from the turbo, this happens on a weekly basis whilst driving. Can you help me solve or diagnose the problem? You can hear the problem in the video attached.

The sound to me not too dissimilar to excess pressure being released from the turbo. As for the fans that is more than likely due to DPF regen. That explains the change of the engine note as well.

A baffle in the front air intake has broken. Common issue on the OM642 engine.
