.................. a 2003 C180K-SE to run around in for the time being.

Pretty clean, last owner had it for 9+ years and did quite a bit of maintenance like, new Kompressor, Springs, AC Pump, Battery, Brembo Brakes, Camshaft Magnets, (whatever they are), Head done and Valves re-ground, Gearbox and Diff Fluid, Suspension, Clutch Slave Cylinder, GoodYear All Season Tyres etc, etc.....

Oh, it's got 224000+ miles on it.....lol. Mostly going backwards and forwards to Germany, (he was German).

Anyway, he was flying it off cheap as he had just bought a CLS..... Oh, and it has a new MOT done on the 17th June. (And he threw in new Rear Brembo Discs and Pads)!

The plus is that it is more or less rust free - just the shame it has Cloth Interior which is looking a bit sad. And WAY TOO MANY GEARS!!!!!

We'll just have to see how it goes - haven't driven a Manual for quite a few years and never owned a Kompressor! Whatever happens I'll put it down to experience.... :D

Some pics - from the Ad.

Just found the Ad with the list of things done - I knew I had forgotten a couple of things....... Should be OK for a while..... Hopefully.

"4 Goodyear 4 season direction tyres for better grip in wet and all year round. Due to high mileage general preventive maintenance has been performed and following items replaced: Timing chain, tensioners, guides, balancer chain and cam shaft magnets replaced @197000 miles. Cylinder head professionally cleaned free from carbon and valves re-nested for better performance, Supercharger, air con motor, alternator, throttle actuator and front shock springs replaced".

Should be OK for a while..... Hopefully.

Oh, and managed to clean up the headlights a bit. All of 30 minutes with AutoGlym Paint Renovator by hand! Will do for now - but a vast improvement on how they were!

That's a great list of preventative maintenance. She should last well now.

If you want to make headlights look brand new wet flat with 1200 wet & dry then spray clear two pack lacquer on them,I have done this many times works a treat.(must be two pack lacquer or it won’t last very long)you can buy 2K lacquer in spray can you just have to pull the pin on bottom to release hardener and shake to mix it.

1200? Wow... I went 1500 ->2500->3000 to brasso when I did mine! Your way would have saved me over an hour per light!

Thanks for all the advice and comments on the Headlights.
Unfortunately the photos don't really do them justice as there is quite a bit of reflection going on from objects around the car.
They are in fact totally clear with just using the A-G Paint Renovator. (By Hand). I too upon seeing them thought it would be a case of flatting and machine polishing - which I've had to do previously on the CLK Headlights.
I am not going to bother with a Clearcoat because once it starts to go off you have to go the flatting route, etc. I am just going to keep a check and polish as and when necessary.
