Is Mercedes ATF134FE spec MB236.15 a supercession of ATF134 MB236.14?

Can I use MB236.15 in my 722.6 transmission on my 2004 C220 CDI?

Thanks in advance for your help.

No, you shouldn't use 236.15 in your 722.6 gearbox. The 236.15 (ATF134FE) was specially designed for the 7g+ gearbox.
The 236.15 is not miscible with the 236.14 spec ATF.
It has a blue / green colour while the 236.14 is red. I'm sure that was done to make it more obviously different and reduce the chances of mistakes.

Thank you. Much appreciated. Do you happen to know if there are any alternative brands to MB's available on the UK?

I used Smith and Allen. They have a 236.14 spec ATF. I paid £81 for 20l through eBay.

Just had a further thought. If I am changing the conductor plate will I need the full 7.4 litres or will 5 be sufficient?

I am assuming the Torque Convertor will remain full of fluid.

If you are going to all the trouble of doing the ATF and conductor plate change , I suggest that you either try to drain the TC if it has a drain bolt or flush the ATF using the cooler pipes method.

I'm not worried about draining the tc as I bought from a Mercedes commercial vehicle mechanic who asdured me he had recently changed the fluid and filter.

Unfortunately the conductor plate appears to have now failed and the connector is leaking badly.

If he was under there already, it could be said that it was remiss of him not to have done the connector
