Is there really much difference between all the different makes of MAF Sensors?

It varies but if its a wire(as opposed to hot film) it's usually nichrome or similar.

Just been out to the car and it has the original MAF on it with the MB logo and Part Number. The date is on the part label 10/02/04.
So it was a year old before it went onto my 05 E Class. It also has Delphi as the manufacturer. So I take it if I buy a Delphi MAF it will be the same part, but cheaper than MB.
