hi have a c250 w205 keep getting engine light come car doesnt go into limp mode plug in obd reader its saying exhaust gas tempture sensor bank 1 sensor no 3 can anyone point me the right direction were the senor is located i have changed 2 so far reset the light and after 160 miles bang light back on with same code . i have changed the one thats on top of the cat and the one below the cat cheers

What is the actual error code?
Is it P0546?

If so it is probably the Exhaust Gas Temperature Sensor that is bolted into the exhaust manifold.

If you replaced the sensors , the management light went out , then returned later ? Maybe this is because the underlying cause/fault is not rectified yet .
May be worth having Star session at a decent Indy , it must be getting expensive just changing any sensors you find ?

amf i new that name from somewhere i bought my car down to you and put on the star to reset my air mass sensor i think you did say something about the sensor then its bank 1 sensor no3 exhaust gas tempture sensor i have changed the one before the cat just after the lamba sensor and the one after which is bent at 90 degres which is just after the cat so is the one more before the other oxygen sensor or after just before dpf not sure if you still have my car on your compture reg was HV64LWP cheers for your help

I do indeed. I remember it! We have moved now to Tonbridge, for a bit more space! I woukd need the xentry definition to give you which sensor it is 100%!
