I am looking for a good auto electrician to get to the bottom of my power drain issue any one can help? Live in prenton Wirral

Martin, not sure of a specialist auto electrician per se but worth contacting Dave at MD Motorcare in Ellesmere Port, he’s an MB specialist but also knows his way around the trade so if he can’t get to the bottom of your drain I’m sure can recommend someone

Don’t discount a faulty battery.

How big is the drain? Mine was 3.3A and due to the alternator voltage regulator...

Gives James a call at Advanced Auto Electrics in Birkenhead. They get all sorts of weird and wonderful stuff in (including my old Maserati), so should be able to help.

About 0.3A then. Could be the COMAND not going to sleep- a likely scenario.

Buy a clamp meter, and pull fuses one by one...
think there was a detailed thread on here on how to do it.
