A couple of my rear sensors are out according to MB Wirral.

It’s something I can probably do myself if it’s the outer two according to the web, however, I haven’t been able to find anything definitive re the fitting.

Are the pattern sensors any good or should I stick to OEM ? Was going to get a couple of used OEM ones off eBay and chuck those on unless peeps can advise otherwise.

Cheers

Jonny

They just clip in and out.

They are numbered. No1 is the front passenger one and go clockwise from there, you will need to know which ones are failing

They are the ones that usually go as they are near very hot exhausts. They are all the same part no.

Just did my rear sensors this morning. Pretty much followed the video, although I did find a couple of 10mm screws which were at the very tip of each side of the bumper, and accessed from behind the wheel arch lining.

Took me about 40 mins in the rain and pleased to say all working perfectly now. It was the outer 2 which had failed.

Very easy job to do if you have a 10mm spanner and will save you mucho pounds compared to a dealer. Sensors available on eBay - I used genuine Merc used parts with no issue.

Incidentally, I have 4 x genuine OEM sensors in the classifieds section if anyone needs some.

Yep - was amazed at how smoothly it went. Half the time was spent swotting mozzy osbournes which should have disappeared by now.

I reckon if I was on a stop watch I could do it in 20 mins, bumper off and back on.
