I manage nicely with a 2+2 and the 129 rears look about the same. My 2x 8yo fit in the back, the 10 yo less so- but we’ve the XC90 for family work- you’ve 2xMLs ...
To your original aim of investment then the 129 fits the bill...and that one looks stunning I must say...
129 rear leg room is the issue. There isn't any.
With my seat in the normal position for me the seat back is 1/2" from the rear seat squab. I can't get the seat far enough forward for anyone to get behind me whilst allowing me to drive.

If you’re after an investment 2+2 then I’d point you in the direction of a 911...
Yep - 993 is an itch I’ve also always wanted to scratch.

You won’t lose any money with the right 911. 993 is very nice - ignore 996, 997 is tres rapid and still modern enough and if pre March 05 cheap VED :). I’d have another in a heartbeat - although I probably should organise some gainful employment before trawling autotrader...

Yes - just the one ! Mind you, having no bike licence will prevent me ruining it if I do get one...

Don’t even go there ! I now have two investment grade bikes on order (2 seats - tick !)

To be honest, I’ve never been into bikes, but am now very excited about what’s about to arrive (in a few weeks). Will post up pics etc in due course for the bike perves ;-)

Going ahead with a 78 CBX1000 (6 cylinder !) and the motorbike guy Paul advised against the Ducati 900SS I was interested in after doing his checks on it. Frame issues, which meant he couldn’t give it an investment grade stamp of approval. Could have been a very expensive mistake, so thank goodness for someone who knows what they’re doing.

Ended up late last night putting a deposit on a 2009 Aston Martin V8 Vantage, after some very intense Brexit style negotiations ! I think both parties had consumed mucho vino, however, my negotiation skills course I did about 10 years ago prevailed and I got it for a steal.

Flying down to Cornwall next Saturday to pick up and looking forward to a 7hr drive back !

Might take the B roads and make it 10hrs...

It was actually SWMBO who pushed for it, she’s not a car person in any way shape or form, but is very excited !

Pics to follow in due course.

ignore 996.
A bit harsh, Blobcat? The right 996 can be a great car - C4S seems to be on the up at the moment (as much as anything is, in the current market).

Very nice car to drive, it was just hit way too many times with the ugly stick :(

Very popular in Porsche Enthusiast Club circles now - I think people have gotten used to the looks.

Wife’s sold on the idea - that was easy !

R129 it is, ideally dark blue with cream interior and rhd, prefer 500 with AMG and pano.

Low miles, FSH, etc etc

I feel just like Conor but older !

Do you mean me? :D
