Does anyone know the original size tyre for the 310d?

Im running on 215/80/14 and the speedo is out, so Im thinking the profile is not correct.

Thanks
JP

The tyre size taken from a 1990 Brochure are 308D, 310D & 310 215RX14 Tubeless
Gearbox Mercedes-Benz G1/18-5/4.69 Five speed overdrive synchromesh.
Hope this helps.
Adrian.

Thank you Adrian, also had an answer back from Mercedes, which was

*I have spoken with my technical department regarding your enquiry, they have confirmed that this vehicle came from factory with 205 R14 8PR - 6Jx14H2 tyres but they also confirmed that 215 R14 8PR - 6Jx14H2 tyres would also be suitable.*

Its for my motorhome 310d, so might go for the 205 R14 8PR as the rear ones are a nightmare to get off as theyre enclosed a bit, so the 205 gives 16mm less on the height and 10mm less on the width to play with.

If you put axle stands on the chassis then let the axle drop down it you should have enough clearance to remove the wheels.
I would keep the tyres as standard from factory as it keeps problems to a minimum.

Do you have the yellow data card for the vehicle, this has all the factory build data of all the components fitted to your vehicle Adrian.

Thanks for the info, yes im going to get some 205s all round. The next job is the heater blower fan, Im thinking the dashboard have to come out for that, as I cant see how it can be removed with out doing that.
No, I dont have the yellow data card, where would I get one of those from?

Yes the dash board has to come out but you will need to remove the steering wheel which you will need a puller to do this as it is a parallel shaft. The plastic holding the heater box is a bit fragile and brittle.

Two data cards are issued with the vehicle when purchased both the same data entry but one has the key code for the ignition and door locks.
