What you can do to counter the watermarks is get it nicely polished and waxed.. then when finished washing the wax coat will allow you to "dry your car with water". That said it's an unholy waste of water in my opinion.

Shouldn't really get water marks if you dry each panel off as you wash it

I’m in Reading as well!
Bought my C200 Sport in white and surprisingly it seems to stay cleaner than my previous SLK which was Jasper Blue Metallic.
Probably because white doesn’t show the dust or water marks from rain as much as a darker colour. Plus the fact that I clean it on a very regular basis - almost to the point of obsession!
