As the car is under warranty, leave it with the dealer until its fixed to your satisfaction.
Ask for a courtesy car in the meantime.

Hi purchased a car from a dealer not Mercedes which they won't cover Got the car Thrusday, haven't washed it myself yet.
Anything to use to remove it?

I'm not sure that MB can wriggle out of it for a 2019 car . If the car wasn't washed at all , they would have to cover it . MB have an anti corrosion/paintwork warranty for 30 years .

Any google search on Mercedes 30 year corrosion warranty should show you , I think you have been fobbed off by whoever you spoke to at MB .
The fact you bourght a 2019 car from a non MB dealer doesn't affect any of that .

The dealership I went to said they cannot do anything because the car wasn’t bought from them....they wanted to charge me over a thousand pounds to replace the trims

I don't understand. It is still under MB warranty surely, no matter where you bought it

I think I need to try another MB dealer to see if they say the same thing. What does MB warranty even cover?

Welcome to the forum.

If not happy, bring it back to the dealer and leave it with them until fixed. You could also call MB UK to see what they have to say on the matter. a 2019 car is max 10 and half months old..

EDIT: When you say new... do you mean "new new new" or "new to you"? i.e. When was the car first registered?

Hi Conor, Car was registered in May 2019 with the car being an Ex-demo!

I'd go straight to MB to be honest and see what kind of reaction you get.

If nothing positive, try the dealer who sold to you.. if all else fails then keep an eye on the issue. If this turns into a large issue there is the possibility that US customers will run a class action suit... thus opening the possibility of their being a recall/warranty issue over here for affected vehicles.

I think they used TFR which stained the trims! My dealer won't do anything which then i went to MB directly and got the car booked in so they can have a look into it.

Oh that looks like it has been messed up during cleaning / polish.

I don't think its a huge deal, if the polish works then your good.
