The Comand rotary control shaft replacement looks identical to the one I purchased from Germany via eBay, similar price as well. Not had a single problem with the control since I had the replacement fitted, and aluminium will not shear the way the original cheap plastic shaft did!

Thanks for posting this, brings joy to my heart this sort of entrepreneurial niche development, less waste and less corporate greed to boot - I might add he’ll be bought out before long

Used their repair kit for the C class door lock "bouncing" problem about three years ago, it's just a small stainless steel spring but a lot stronger than the MB original comes complete with a spring for each lock (they're sided) a pair of forceps to help install and a link to a youtube video.
From memory cost about £5 against the cost of a complete lock which I never bothered to cost.

I must find time to take my failed fan pack to them. Seems crazy that an internal electrical fault, probably easily and cheaply fixed, results in having to replace the entire fan pack, total cost including diagnosis at my local indie was about £480!!

And there's me re-using plastic bags to help the environment!
Ah well ... we're doing the same thing really - minus the income he'll get and I won't.
