Found it bolted to a water pipe, never had any water come out of it, seems I found a better use . ( )
I really hope you’re winding me up...

It was, when I realised that it was the bolt that had turned and not just the socket

Who’d have thought that replacing a simple sensor could have made such an interesting thread eh.

I bet anyone else contemplating a 20 minute cps change might have to allow 20min to 3 weeks now :rolleyes:

And this is without the sensor itself being seized.

Thankfully.

Gave it all a good soaking too with penetrating oils for a week. Luckily for me it was the rounded off bolt that caused the problem, having to drill out the old sensor would have been an interesting problem.

Would be hoping that the drilling would eventually turn the sensor and begin freeing it up.

Expect I would have had to drill an 80mm hole through the wing first though, then could have covered it up with a big AMG badge !!
