A c220, w204. I did a 534 mile round trip (ebay purchase, collect only ) What else can one do on a dull wet sunday?
Brimmed the tank, drove the distance and got back home with 51.3 mpg showing as average on the dash.
Refilled the car, got my calculator out and the result? 50.3 mpg.
I think the cars computer did a good job !

I think the puter can be reasonably accurate when long cruise type journeys are measured , try doing it when you do mixed driving with the odd blast in too , bet its way out afterwards

I've always found the onboard to be pretty accurate on the 210. Never been more than 0.5mpg wrong. Don't bother checking any more.

My old 211 used to be about .3 out, the 212 is about .5, my brothers previous 205 was about 1.5 out which surprised me

My last fill showed 32.5 but trip was 30.9 - considerable amount of cold start short journey trips with the occasional longer run

My Vito is less than 1mpg out but the CLK can be anywhere from 7-12 - and it always says it's doing much better than it actually does.

My c207 reads anywhere from 50mpg to 54mpg on my Dailey 42 Mile commute. But I'm highly suspicious that it's about 1 to 3 mpg out.

My average dropped to 59.9, gutted :p
Driving back from Beni, 1200 Mls, my 204 went down to 68.7 most dissapointed as for the first 250-300 it was 70.2mpg
For over 40 years I was a white van man, never had to pay for fuel, having retired and back in the real world, and paying, I am now Mr Ecconomy
