Hello forum members,

Running the Bosch MED17.7.3 which required ECU removal and BSM communication due to the discovery it had been previously (Badly) Tuned.

We had the vehicle for a few days as we had a full decat to rear silencer system fabricated specifically for the vehicle.

After having the vehicle on the dyno and suspecting after initial road testing I could indeed come to the conclusion the vehicle was not stock. It behaved in a fashion less than ideal and throttle pedal felt terrible.

As you can see the torque was up but power way down the management was fighting the calibration to look after itself.

After removal of the ECU to see what had been done it was in-fact the same file I had previously seen on a number of E63s and CLS63s.

Fully corrected the software and saw a huge improvement in every possible way.

XXXX tune 518bhp and 921nm
GAD Stage 2 (Corrected) 675bhp and 1185nm

Below are plots, shots and videos.

For any enquires please feel free to pop me an email to info@gadtuning.co.uk or call direct on 05603 67 21 09

shares in goodyear with that torque figure  , really like the styling of the newer SL too
With a little foot control its very manageable!!! The tune that we previously on it had terrible throttle pedal manipulation and fuelling was a mess so customer is seeing an improvement of 3mpg which is also not to be sniffed at!

Many thanks

Evening.

I’m getting a new C63 this week, and am interested in getting a bit more power and torque out of it.

What options do I have, and should I wait until there are some miles on it first?

Good evening,

Yes sure we can help my friend and members get discounts also! As for the mileage front we have tuned many brand new vehicles not exclusively Mercedes but we do always recommend getting a few thousand on the clock. A few reasons, one being letting the engine settle in a little, number two would be to get used to the stock power to really benefit from the bum dyno of having the extra grunt and the other is to make sure you are 100% happy with the vehicle as its delivered to yourself and there are no manufacturing issues etc... That Mercedes would have to address.

Many thanks
