Hi, I have a 2010 CLS Grand Edition. I’ve swapped out Comand for an after market Sony CarPlay/AndroidAuto unit. The issue is setting the clock in the dash. In the basic model CLS with just the radio the time settings are accessed from the dash settings. With Comand the time settings aren’t present as Comand auto updates the time. So as it stands I have no way of setting the time for the dash clock. Just wondering if it might be possible to show the time settings in the dash perhaps by using a STAR device? At the end of the day it’s not the end of the world if I can’t but slightly annoying seeing the clock not displaying the correct time! Perhaps I can’t have my cake and eat it but would be ace if I could. Would appreciate any help, thanks.

Yes, I just did it in my W220, I believe option is still there at newer models too. Needs Developer mode though.

Thanks very much for replying. I’ll ask my mechanic to check developer mode and hopefully the ‘un-hide’ time setting etc will be easy to find. I think he only likes to plug in when he has to lol.

I've seen suggested a couple of times, disconnecting the battery shortly before 12 then reconnecting on the hour. Tried it on my W211 and the clock obligingly reset itself and now shows correct time

or midnight if it's set to 24 hr.

I can't be specific but would have thought Star could allow for cluster adjustment.

Seasons greetings. Just an update in relation to this-mechanic had a look in developer mode and only found a ‘dash reset’ which hasn’t resolved the issue. Company who fitted the new media unit were none the wiser and auto electrician the same. It’s not the end of the world not being able to update the clock for the benefits a new media unit has brought. But nonetheless a little annoying when it’s one of the three main dials on the dash. I guess I can’t have my cake and eat it after all!

Option is named 'Konfig Uhr' or something like that (developer is all in german...)

Edit: its true that if you cant go developer in DAS (because car is too new), XENTRY developer is much more limited... then vediamo is needed. I still believe C219 is covered in DAS

You need to deconfigure Command to enable the ability to set the time from the cluster I believe.

Happy New Year! Thanks all for the advice. I’ve contacted a couple of dealers, so fingers crossed for being able to set the clock again.
