Before someone asks how I am going to drain the catch can, I removed the drain plug and fitted a little brass tap with lever, so all I have to do is put a container under the can and open the valve, when its drained just close valve again.

With the negligible amount of fluid you will catch, it won't have to be emptied too often. Annual birthday present?

Its done about 20 miles since fitting, there is viable oil in the supply line, and pipe is slightly discoloured, return line has a small bit of oil at the outlet, but pipe clean and no sign of oil at the join to air intake.
At the moment, no turbo leak.
We will see, i have another can on order, and if this solves the problem will do a better installation when weather a bit better.

The new can i have ordered has a sight tube in the side so you can see how much oil is in the can and empty when getting full. The one i have fitted does not have that so at this time do not know how much oil it is collecting.
Will know that when i take it out soon to fit the new one.
Just ordered a right angle drill attachment, as where ever i fit the can is going to be tight, and will need to drill mounting holes.

I have a new can, just sorting it out for fitting, going to fill inside with stainless steel pad, then sort out where/how to fit.
I do not know how much the can on the car is collecting, went to empty it and it was empty !!!!, then noticed it was leaking. I would think from the oil i can see about 1/2 a tea spoon in about 80 miles.
I will update (yes with a picture as well) when i fit the new one.

made a start today, have found a location for can, which is behind right hand headlight, bracket fitted and ready to install (pictures will reveal all). I could not finish as the post has let me down, the stainless steel pads i ordered to give a baffle failed to arrive.
When its fitted, i will reveal all.

It's stainless steel. I know it will reduce the capacity a bit. But should be fine. I also extended the on line down into the can a bit. 20191214_074325.jpg

Ok. Footed can behind right headlight. It was a tight fit but does not touch anything. 20191213_095012.jpg

Predictive texts on phone is a pain, sorry for odd things.
The car is all back together now. Runs well as normal. I have cleared up the oil from where other can leaked.
I will keep an eye on it for a few days.
One down side is going to be emptying it. I will have to take headlight out, unscrew the can and tip it on its side, then drain.
The headlight can be taken out for fun, about 3 minuets, ,
So should not cause a problem.

The biggest issue i had today was, the weather, it was that cold that the plastic pipes would not bend, and getting them on the can was very tight, hot water helped !!!.
Driven to work and heat from engine has settled the pipes nicely. I moved the can because where i fitted the other one was close to the exhaust, and i felt the pipes were getting a little soft. It has a decent airflow where it is now, so should help to make the stuff in the vapour condensate better.
Checked for any leaks after 20 miles, all good. I will update on what goes into the can and how much there is after a certain mileage. I am hoping that i can drain the can at oil change time, but i do change the oil every 5-6,000 miles.

After 100 miles of going backwards and forwards to work no oil showing in the site tube yet.
Still no oil at Turbo, but I do expect a drop,as the out line from can shows a little oil residue. The in line shows a bit more.
Does not seem to affect performance and fuel consumption seems ok.
It could be a plasibo effect, but does seem a bit quicker and a cleaner take off.
I have MOT soon and it will be interesting to see if emissions have changed as have last year's test sheet

Now driven over 200 miles, there is signs of oil in the pipes, but as yet not showing on the level indicator pipe, hence not filling at any speed. More importantly, no sign yet of oil leaking at the Turbo, i still expect it to, but fitting the can has drastically reduced the oil leak (well at this time).
I will update again when and if the leak shows.
