Hi All,

Looking for some help. Check brake pad warning came on today I understand that means pads have worn to the sensor. Looking online at replacement front pads there's two fitments. My car is 14 plate E250 AMG CDI.
Anyone know what fitment is required?
Seems there's just one size for rear pads.
Looks like couple of sizes for front discs as well (thought I'd change them at same time)
Also do you need to buy new wear sensor?
Thanks for your help

If the warning came on, the sensor wire has worn through and you'll need a new one.

You can search for the correct part number using this site (use the Search by Vin#) and cross reference the OEM part against any aftermarket ones.

MB Grangemouth are good for discounted OEM parts if you mention the forum.

Check ECP I got front brembo disks and pads for around £118 when they had the 50% discount code on. The codes come up all the time.

Any parts supplier should be able to provide the correct parts if you give them your registration number. Yes you do need a new wear sensor and do change both pads and discs. I recently made the mistake of just replacing the pads on my C207 , 6 weeks later they still haven't bedded in.

Obviously depends on how far you've driven 'recently' but some pads are just better than others ;)
Pads are top OEM but I underestimated just how worn the discs were. Thickness was OK but too many wear ridges.

If it ain't got a three pointed star, it ain't my motor car.

Gotta love your Sig, but how do you get around with no tyres on your car - not to mention a great deal of other parts on your car!

Just because it has a "Mercedes" sticker on it doesn't mean it's made by Mercedes..... :D
