.... is sticking. I have my steering column set to raise & lower as I leave & enter the car.
As I left my house this afternoon I realised it was still in the raised position as I drove off, tried the lever/toggle to lower/raise/lower it & got nothing. Sent the wheel way from me & then tried lowering it & it worked. But a couple of times today it's stuck in the raised position instead of lowering though it has played ball when I've operated the lever/toggle.
Anyone had this before with their car? I still have to the end of March to take it back to MB but knowing the Law of Sod it'll work perfectly if I book it into Merc ....

Hello
Mine did exactly the same a couple of weeks ago
I took mine to a Mercedes Indy and it started to work in the garage
I think he brought it all the way out and give it a bang haha
But it’s been fine since , he did reset all the stops on the steering and seating while I was there for £50 so that may of fixed it but I’m not sure

Sounds like a memory glitch, the sort that's usually brought on by a voltage drop. Any cold starting issues recently? Possibly the battery getting to the end of its life?

It's definitely stuck at the highest position ... no starting problems at all, even after a week of inactivity sitting on my drive. ;)

The high position is the default, my guess is that it doesn't know where to go next. Hence is it a memory problem?

I get what yo're saying but the column will go to the high/default position but won't initially move down on the toggle/stalk either.
