2014 Mercedes e350 amg bluetec check engine light help

Hi guys, after just buying this car would it be possible to do a self diagnostics check on it? because my cel light is on? I’ve heard there is some type of engineering mode i can enter but unsure how to do it, thanks

unfortunately you need a code reader of some sort to talk to your car. STAR is the Mercedes own kit but others will do a basic check.

Did you buy from a dealer ? Even if you didn’t, private sales are also liable for known faults
