Drove her over Dartmoor from Tavy home via the twisty bits. High wind everywhere. Rain leaving Tavy, Snow & 0 oC Princetown (No wonder they lock em up there), Sun all the way home, Burrator reservoir full. Brooks at Sheep Tor full and still no Willy's ice cream van at Cadover Bridge yet. Maybe next week at half term. Still no traffic. didn't have to stop once on the single lane roads.:D:D:D:D
I was staying in Lewtrenchard last week, on Thursday went topless it was so nice, looks like we picked the right week to visit Dartmoor!

I am envious you have those roads to enjoy daily, followed a SL63AMG part of the way.

Fitted some 17" Staggered AMG 1's today.... Thought I had better do it before the heavens open for the next few days!!!

Not bad, they came with Conti's on the front and Rainmaster 3's on the rear!

Needs another polish soon as all this rain has put a dent in its resistance....:mad::mad:

That is one of the best wheels AMG have ever done, its RainSports BTW ;);););)

Yes, "Rainsport 3"..... My apologies. It's called "The Rainmaster Tyre".... That was my mistake.

And to be perfectly honest I actually prefer the "AMG II" but the ones I found didn't have tyres so it would have become financially prohibitive.... (For me at least).

No Russell I haven't, to be honest its never occurred to me do do that. I've only lubed it with Gummi-pflege. It's like the boot lid isn't touching the rubbers with enough pressure to stop the water drawing in
Gummi Pflege is German for rubber care - make sure you use a good brand.....not all rubber care is equal.....:)

Stunning looking car but not a fan of the black grille.

Today, I sorted the rear light cluster seals, boot lid seals, boot lock seals and the small rivets holding the MB star in, on my 190E.

Next job, lift the front suspension slightly so it doesnt rub (PO lowered it), swap tyres from the old alloys onto the new OEM AMG alloys with the correct offset, then finally, drive it!

Thanks all for the agreeable comments! And by the way I still have the Original Grill - although the the black one in the photos is an Original one, I just sprayed it Satin Black as I had it spare.....

Looked at the boot lid gap and have decided that the water coming over the rubbers is due to the boot lid not sealing fully on the rubber, I can push lightly on the boot lid and it squishes down about 1/4" so I think I will adjust the boot lid catch first ;)

Make sure the mechanical release works first. If the boot shuts too tightly the PSE pump may not be able to open it.....

Washed the motor, a good few weeks of dirt accumulation. The reversing camera was useless it was that dirty. Longest time without a wash....I almost took it to be washed, but resisted.

Two days ago actually. But not had chance to post.

Took it to the local (non-Merc) garage as it’s in limp mode.

EGT Sensor has gone for a burton. The new sensor arrived yesterday so hopefully get it back today or tomorrow.

Hobbled out to the garage and adjusted the boot catch and change the wet towels.
I know where I went wrong with the resealing on the lower rear rubber, so when I'm able to again I we redo the lower screen rubber, this is where the water pours in :(

I never took the sticky tape or sealant to the end of the metal panel

New dry towels in place
