Hi I am a new member just joined and am hoping I can get some solid advice here

I have a 1977 R107 350 SL (107 thou on the clock) owned for 10 years + which I am considering getting rid of in favour of a W124 E320 cab ( 1994, 98 thou on the clock)

I have identified a possible car but there are a few problems/issues that will/may need addressing can anyone advise on the following

Seat belt butler/presenter passenger side does not present ( is this any easy fix)

Headlamp wash/wipe,, does not wash wipe how do you get the unit out ? to check it out

Both seats appear not slide/move on the runners is this a common problem with an easy fix ?

are there any threads on the forums re these issues
regards
Bill Mac

Hi Bill and welcome.

I can only advise on the headlamp, wash wiper as is the same as the 129.
They will only operate if the headlamps are on. The easy fix

The drivers side wiper motor is the master unit. It contains an extra circuit and also controls the other motor and brings them to a stop / at rest using an internal cam.
Sometimes the wiper is not at rest correctly, you could try moving the arm down to make the cct then try it again.

The seat belt presenter may be something as simple as a fuse, or adjustment of microswitches or could be a dead unit. Impossible to tell without spending a little time to diagnose it.
