Fault accident should I get repaired or written of

Hi I’m so confused as they are wanting to repair my merc c class 2018 plate but I’m worried I won’t be able to sell the car In future it will be hard to sell a repaired car I think it’s written of but they said because airbags didn’t go of might be repaired I’m with insure the box feel pressured with them it’s not a cheap car so don’t to lose out

A properly completed repair should be virtually impossible to detect to anyone but an expert.

There will probably be a paper trail
of it involved in a repair if it’s that bad you think it should be wrote off ,
But if air bags are intact then it must only be external skin damage and as said the repair should be 99% impossible to see . The part I hate is sometimes after a car gets a hard enough knock body seals can get broke and the car tends to steam up more often due to this. Was the accident other persons fault. As then there is possibility you may be getting
compensation which may help make it
bit easier to bear.

The cars value will depend on if it is assigned an insurance category once repaired. This will go on the V5 document so cannot be hidden.

I think you're worrying unnecessarily. Unless your car is written off, which it sounds like it won't, then any future buyer will be none the wiser as the V5 won't have anything to indicate it's been repaired.

Speak to your insurance company. If they repair car then it should not be assigned a cat marker.

I will say it is usually pretty easy to spot a repaired car though.
