Hi guys i need some help. Its time for me to change the engine mounts of my c220 cdi w204.
Genuine merc mounts are £220. I was checking on online autodoc app selling £120 both sides but brand is lamforder. Some people suggest me to go for lemforder cuz its a good brand and cheap too. But some said go for genuine merc one so am confused.

What you guys suggest me....

Nothing wrong with Lemforder but if you want to get a second MB genuine price try MB Grangemouth on 01324 686002 , they offer a forum discount and will deliver anywhere in the UK for £5

Lemforder will probably make them for MB, they do all their suspension arms

Eurocarparts a bit expensive. I cannot find lamforder brand there as well. So now am confused between merc orignal ones or lamforder ones?

I'd be tempted to go original. My w211 (OM642) required new mounts around a year ago. I bought a pair made by Corteco and have regretted it ever since. The first 1000 miles or so were great, now there's quite a lot of vibration through the car at idle, especially out of gear that you can hear as well as feel. I also think they're getting worse so don't expect them to last very long either.

The Lemforder mounts are probably fine, and you could just be paying for an expensive box with the originals. But given the amount of labour involved I'd be tempted to pay that little extra, I will next time.

True. Not many people satisfied with corteco. Lamforder still a decent choice and thats what most people told me. But my mech is insisting me to go for orignals.
By the way after changing the mounts how much difference u would feel driving wise

How long have your originals lasted?

as you read above substandard last what a year.

its not a job you want doing again in a year.

Get the originals and be done with it - be sure to post back when the replacement MB mounts fail.

As above.

The first mounts I bought were from ECP, I think they were either Febi or Lemforder but did 22,000 odd miles before the car changed owner. The second set I got from Grangemouth, 30,000 miles so far ;)

To be honest......No, but I think it comes down to lastability if there's such a word.
if your doing the mounts to sell, cheap ones, to keep originals. ;)

It’s an Arnold Clark Mercedes dealer so they run things differently. It’s still a Mercedes dealership, just run by Arnold Clark group.
