Hello, new member. I wasn't really a SLK or Mercedes fan until I saw mine. All thoughts of the Z4 I was going to get went out of the window!

I love her but it's poorly. I'll post my question in the right forum though.

Has anyone ever waved to a fellow SLK driver when they see them on the road? I'm a Sportsbike rider and giving the nod is giving an acknowledgement of "belonging". Or is it just me?

Think is nice to do that, but if they don't respond, you feel like a bit of a wally.

When I drive my old cars I get waves from other motorists but with driving so many different cars the other car has gone by before I register and I end up waving back at some one different

Welcome, no we don't wave to each other when passing - by the time we've checked each others cars out it's too late ... I've thought about waving but turning the gesture into scratching my ear just in case there is no response..

I do a surfs up hand signal to other MB convertibles but only when the roof is down

Welcome to the forum - A R171 is a nice motors, I still admire them all the time..if I hadn't a hankering for a V8, I would have gotten an R171.
