For the sake of clarification, can anyone definitely say NO MBs left the factory with the AMG boot badge that, except for the ones with the AMG engine?

It is a genuine question (albeit it does not keep me awake at night) as I just can't see that all these owners (past or present) of said vehicles, have done this. I appreciate many have, but there must be hundreds if not thousands of such examples out there, surely some are factory fit??

Are you sure that's right? I always thought ( albeit back in the day, I'm sure things are different now ) that if you bought three items from the AMG list you could get the badge on the back. I bought an SLK brand new back in yr2000, pre facelift, just before they released the SLK32 in the facelift run. I opted for AMG body kit, wheels, exhaust and I'm sure I remember it being mentioned by the dealer. I asked for it not to be fitted, but it was in the handover pack, unfitted. I still have it somewhere. And the car!
