Just created a little creation to help me pump (with a foot pump) the pistons out of the calipers when I overhaul the E class brake system . One end is a tyre valve , the other is an M10 brake pipe attachment that will screw into the caliper where the flexible rubber brake hose went .

Hope you have a good strong bike pump (and leg) Wighty :D

Car foot pump and my “average” weight to stand on it :D . It worked well for 2 of my 4 calipers from the CLK , the other 2 calipers I had to reconnect to the car and use the cars brake to get the pistons out

There is that. There are a few decent stretches left though... and the views aren't too bad!
Agreed the views are lovely. I was lucky enough to live there for a couple of years. It's a beautiful place.

Worked up there quite a bit, fantastic on its good days, a wee bit bleak when the weather turns!

Just like Dartmoor. It's a home from home really!!! Albeit with a different accent. :D

Replaced tailgate lever seal. Rubber around sealing area was a bit stiff and I suspect causing small intermittent leaking in heavy rain. I'll know soon enough with all this rain we're having.

Can't believe the sun was out today, though I was never going to have a chance to change it.

I drove my car down to MBS in Southampton for servicing. Even in this morning's skanky weather, the drive down was a joy. It's a two hour train journey to get home but I always feel confident that the car will be properly assessed and maintained when it's in their hands.

Had a bucket of water thrown over it to get the salt off from last week, then some top down fun.
Just cleaned and lubricated all the roof seals.

XC90 deciding to be a bit awkward today.
Dash message for Oil overfill.
Since it had its oil service 10 months ago and never topped up since its not oil...
So I’m assuming since it has post injection DPF regeneration I’m thinking some diesel is dropping down to the sump- my wife drives this car daily on short distances and normally we’ve had a twice weekly decent run- recently no decent runs - that it’s not regenerated properly .
Leaves me in a quandary
- there’s no dip tube so I can’t siphon any out!
I don’t have the facilities to get it up on a ramp to drop some
- it’s leased and under warranty, so I guess I have to get the dealer to sort it out anyway.....
Only thing to decide is whether to drive it to the dealer (Rybrook Chester c15 miles), or
Press the on call and get them out to deal with it?
No point in anything until Monday anyway I suppose
Blinking diesels!!

If the on call is covered under warranty, let them come to you!

It is Alex, I’m kind of heading in that direction - about to call them.... thanks
So RAC here( like MB their on call is subbed now), what I thought...get it to dealer for them to force a regen, change filter and oil etc...due service in May so hopefully they can just combine....it only life was so simple ....
Edit: Allianz roadside care, not RAC

.
Replaced NSF position T10 bulb - the OSF went about moth and half ago - reasonably consistent lifespan, given I fitted these over two years ago on the same day. Finally, something that works ... yes, they are LEDs (COB)
