.
Moved it off the main driveway, on to the gravelled area, so the guests can park this evening.
Noticed a small stone in a groove of the front tyre and contemplated going outside to remove it o_O
Asked my wife for advice and was told "don't be silly - do it tomorrow, when guests are gone and after you move the car back".
She is always right

Decided to give the bitch a quick seeing-to as I hadn't done it for a while - a month or more I think! No real point as to the beautiful English weather!
Also thought I would try out my new phone - I recently realised that I had had the old Sony Xperia for over 8 years!!! - So treated myself....

So here "she" is and here "they" are..... As usual the light was fading - what's new huh!

And I still prefer the Satin Grill, (with the Badge) for which I do not apologise. :p:p:p (So let's get that one out first)! I think it makes the car look a little bit more aggressive...

At least it's not on the Bootlid!

I don't know why but the Seats look blotchy in the photos - in the Ad they looked the same but I was really surprised when the chap brought the car around that they are in very good, clean condition.... A major factor in the decision to buy - split Seam on Driver's Seat was a given - but I did my best to rectify it, slightly..... :(

Looked at the rain dripping off the cover and thought, garages and a workshop are the first priorities in the next abode. Next looked at the AFT and associated bits for the planned flush now I've got a new length of hose and the serpentine belt kit, waiting for the supercharger oil to change at the same time and wondered if it may be possible to "get at it" in between deluge but thought the better of it.
Good news was during my search for the missing oil change hose I did find a nice new KS Tools 8 piece safety torx set I'd forgotten about (no make that carefully placed for later use) which will come in handy for these jobs.
Still waiting for parts for the Golf coming from (A to Z) name of Co Vid 19 China.
Doesn't look hopeful!

Got rid of a chrome strip: -

Rear Small.jpg

The one on the diffuser between the two black gloss exhaust outlets. This should have been the clue at the factory really with the car having a night pack and everything else being blacked out but they still managed to fit a chrome one. :(

Now updated to black and I think it suits the car better though my bodywork person disagrees...

Rear plate 003.jpg

I've also been playing with the rear number plate surround as again it's something I want to change. The previous one had lots of advertising on it which I don't like. The current one, as seen in the second photo has annoying castellations all over it which look a bit nasty to me so I'm doing a bit of painting on the old one, also seeing what else I've got around to make it a bit more pleasing to the eye.

When I eventually decide on something the front will also get done to match.

I must admit I, like your bodywork person I do like the quite subtle chrome strip :)

Looks good. You can get number plate surrounds that have very thin rims, I have one on my SL with no lettering at all.

I’m with you Dave, I think it looks better....
Just noticed something possibly obvious- the AMG and S63 badges are in reverse to my old E63 ?
I’ve probably been living under a rock and they did this years ago!

Looks much better

I have these plate surrounds

Or you could simply stick the plates on

Personally I think that the chrome on the boot lid is enough. Also, with it having the night package, the one I changed is supposed to be black anyway.

Seen a few slimmed down ones but they're either poorly reviewed or, in the case of the German ones on Amazon which I wanted, no longer available. I will keep looking though.

Cheers Matt, shoulder was a good while ago now mate and seems to have recovered thanks. I've had a lot more serious stuff than that quite recently as you know, which is why every little job seems to take an age to complete lately. :(

My W213 was this way as well, it started in 2016/7.

Just ordered something remarkably similar. I did think about sticking them, I've even got the tape somewhere, but decided against it for aesthetics, in that I'm ham fisted and wouldn't get them straight...

When you do the supercharger oil , wedge a cloth in all the engine grooves and recesses below the oil plug , it’s easy to drop the plug and apparently you can’t easily buy one separately .
Also when you have the drain tube into the supercharger and have found the sweet spot , leave the tube in place and remove the syringe to empty It . It saves having to find where the oil is again inside the supercharger which can be fiddly .

Thought you were getting some grief with the shoulder again, might just me imagining things though, I can’t keep track of stuff recently.

think id do that chrome strip above the rear light pods / boot lid too . . . . .

And the badges, if it has the black pack the everything should be black, my mates Range Rover is all black apart from 1 badge on the boot, utterly ridiculous
