Been to Mercedes today trying to get the stupidly designed screw on wheel centres re-aligned as they don't like going back on once they've been removed for some strange reason.

I had them on my last car (W213) and they were awkward on that as well. Had a word with the service manager who showed me the "knack" of screwing them in by hand till just before they get tight, then moving the outside section which covers the bolt heads around till it locates into the wheel centre, finally nipping it up gently with a socket. I can see that lot getting done in the pouring rain...

I only take the wheels off for cleaning purposes but it's so frustrating having it made so user unfriendly.

For those who don't know the ones I mean, it's these things: -

I'm ashamed to admit - I'm driving with an 8yr old front camera, although the rear one is new - not even 6yrs

The font one - Blackvue 400-II was modified substantially (case, firmware, lens), and still runs both original batteries, even though I bought replacements about five years ago (should probably bin them now). The image quality is sill good, GPS works, no errors, other than occasional tantrum when the car is started, turned off and started again in quick succession ...
The rear one is Mini-0801 and is pretty much perfect too - I modified this one just a little, as I can't help it  but essentially it is pretty standard.
The mini 0801 was my first dashcam, I still have it. Prone to overheating but in its day a good cheap dashcam.

No precipitations for 120 minutes it said on AccuWeather. Grab your buckets I told myself and lets get rid of that crud that's built up over the last three weeks. Some hopes of that, 15 minutes later its precipitating. Carried on as long as I could, but no, got a part cleaned car now :(

Fitted some Led Indicator Bulbs that someone on Facebook had shown on the Merc Page there, so I thought I would give them a go. Not bad considering they only cost £14 odd for 4.... (By the way mine needed the PY21W - Offset Pins)

They work absolutely fine - nice and clear colour and a little brighter than the normal bulbs. No warning, no machine-gunning that you tend to get with locally supplied ones - I know, I tried.

Here is the Link if anyone is interested: (They do take about 2-3 weeks to arrive though).

Here is a Video I took today. Not sure why the fronts ones look a bit weird in the Video - in real life they look like normal...???

ps. That is a bike idling, not the car....
