Ok thank you. What hp could I achieve with a stage one remap and a dpf delete? I’m not wanting anything stupid from it. I would just like some more power so I’m not as far behind my friends m135i when we go for a drive

to keep up with your fiends M135i your gonna need more power than the BM
The Merc weights more.
Has two cylinders less.
Less engine capacity.
And is a diesel.

It isn’t gonna get close so buy a C63 then you’ll be in front.

^ As above but I would suggest you buy a 435i, incidentally for the money there is little that will keep up with a M135i on our roads

Fast cars are great but in the last 10 years the opportunity to use it is slim .

On a commute there's few opportunities if there's nothing coming the other way .

Driving isn't driving anymore .

Keep with the 60+mpg smiles per gallon.

580 Nm isn't bad considering .

That's just under W204 C63 AMG torque !

I'd suggest an A45 personally.
All the power is useable, is faster than anything else around the MB Brooklands track and will give better economy than a C63.
Should be more than a match for an M135i.

The 250 is already a higher output than the 220 due to uprated injectors and turbo, your not really going to gain much more with a map, now you can go digger hybrid turbo, larger injectors and uprated fuel pumps with the existing emissions set up, but your talking £3-4K without even thinking about it. You really would be better lookin for a 350 cdi/cgi and having that remapped, you will be much closer with that than doing all the extra work to a 4 pot.

Now I’m guessing you’ve bought the car had work done to it and you wish you had bought something with more power in the first place but your other half won’t let you swap the car, from personal experience your better waiting for a couple of years with the car as is, save a load f money and then show her/him that a 63 will give you everything you would ever want from a car and will be a keeper

That's what I like about it all that torque available 1600-1800 rpm , and light throttle pottering around is effortless .

Only trouble is the silly upchange is 4700 rpm long after the peak power and torque has gone .

You can put a device on the accelerator pedal that will give you more of a difference than a remap , will give you torque even earlier .

did you choose to add the words keep up with my friends m135 just so you can state the obvious. I know a C250 is nowhere near as quick as a m135. C63 will be my next car. This is my first merc and I think it is awesome

Agree with you there about the A being too small.
You can go silly with the power, I drive my wife and baby girl around in my waggon that’s not exactly standard, just have to know when to use the silliness :D
