help ! I was cleaning the inside of the partners A150 when i noticed mold in the spare wheel bit under the boot inner lid, basically when you press the carpet it wobbles around so clearly it feels like 1 or 2 inch's of water in there, the water is currently under the carpet...

note: the front mats and rear seat mats feel dry...

i guess this is a prelude to an electrical disaster so how can i fix it ? is it a known issue, must i remove the rear bumper to resolve,
if anyone has any instructions, tips, help or advice for solving this i'd appreciate it, thanks in advance..

cheers
niall

Rear bumper has to come off, (very easy) there your find a grill on each corner which will be loose on the body, remove clean and refit using some sealer to the body, very very common!!!

thanks Cole,
you say use 'some sealer' to the body, what type of sealer would i use ? I've now taken out the inner lining and emptied the water, i pulled one of the plugs out and all the water drained away, then i cleaned it up,

would it be a workaround to just leave one of the 5 plugs out and let it drain naturally or is that asking for trouble ? IMG_0343.jpg
i removed the plug in the top right of the photo and all the water drained out.

.
I've recently done exactly, what Cole advised above - there's no way around it, it needs to be done - I couldn't even think of leaving it as is, with a couple of extra holes, to let the water drain: I have a power sound option, with a factory subwoofer in my spare wheel.

Or go to a chandlers and buy a scupper valve. Fit it at the lowest point and your wheel well will always stay dry!
One-way flap valve, self-closing.
