Sensors changed, still intermittent limp mode

Hi I bought a 2013 e class coupe 2.1 diesel 3 weeks ago. It kept going in and out of limp mode so I booked it into my local merc specialist who use STAR diagnostics. Just after I booked it in I drove about 1.5 hour on the motorway and between then and it actually going in the garage it never went into limp mode again but I took it anyway. The code that came up was for an exhaust pressure sensor which I had fitted. I left the garage and it went straight back into limp mode so I took it straight back. This time the computer said it was the DPF sensor so they changed that for me and still in limp mode! It even has the modified connector fitted to stop loose wiring from engine rattle. I was told to run it around for a week and try and go on another long run and see if it sorts itself out before they have to do further investigations. The diagnostics machine wasn’t showing up any other fault codes. Any ideas?

Probably needs a forced regeneration. Star would show soot levels etc.

Have they updated the software to match the sensors? Particularly the DPF pressure sensor.
