Hey guys,

move discovered a lot of water behind the passenger seat and I need to 1 find out where this is coming from and 2 dry it out as I fear it may be causing electrical issues (my cantral locking isn’t working from the keyfob)

how do I remove all the grey trim to look behind it?

The normal cause is a blocked window frame for the rear quarter light, you can get a torch down the side of the window to see if there’s water in there, it’s pretty complicated to take that rear trim apart, lots of bits can break off and snap, you might be able to un block it with a rod if you remove the window top trim/rubber if it is the cause!

The central locking issue is possibly a faulty antennae under the windscreen on drivers side. That's what the issue is on mine.

Which part of the QL should I be checking?

Smart + others :)
Check heater intake drain, under bonnet, fills up and into car, the rear is the lowest point and it collects there after running under carpet.

If memory serves me well
My 2004 started opening on its own.
Check in boot passenger side there was a well and the air pump is down there, mine had flooded and was doing weird things.
Think the cause was the rear window seal.
