Hi All,

I have a 2012 C220 Diesel with 165k miles on the clock, I have the front end open, so radiator, intercooler, radiator fan and front bumper are all out.

Now that this gives me plenty of room to work - what should I replace while I am here? Everything on the car is still original, just normal servicing has been done.

Mercedes-Benz E63s, Old knackered G wagon
Thermostat, water pump, oil cooler.
They're all things that have failed and been replaced on mine

As CSJ says above, also new auxiliary/serpentine belt.

If you’ve had to take out air con - maybe a new dryer canister.

Give the cores on your rad etc a good visual check, wash, and a coat of black satin to help fend off corrosion?

Dab of copperslip on bolt thread when installing.

I guess oil cooler requires new engine oil too? Or can we do it without?

Ok guys, I have taken the cover off and can see some oil, now bear in mind this is a 165k mile engine with everything still original, seems like oil is leaking from somewhere? Is it anything I should be worried about?

Yes the leak needs attending to before it gets onto the serpentine belt and rubber hoses, I see the oil is migrating onto the pulleys already oil and serpentine belts are a no no

Where could it be coming from? Oil cooler seal?
