Just checked my service report which shows that the gearbox oil and filter has never been changed on my car. I bought the car only 3 months ago and its on 60k miles (2013 E300 Bluetech Hybrid Facelift).

I was told that it should have been changed around 35k miles but it has never been changed. I have a service plan with Mercedes and they told me that it does not require a change as the report shows an [x] for the gearbox. My service is due in 2,000 miles

Could someone tell me if this is correct, does it require one or is it not needed?

Thank you

I think that around your year of car they changed from 37500miles to 75000 and/or 5 years , hopefully someone else can confirm this ...if you ask Merc main dealer this they should confirm it .

Just read my service manual. Says gearbox oil change at 62k for hybrid E Class

My service manual says 62k for hybrid E class, however as my service is due at the end of the Month and I have a Mercedes service plan, they tell me that it is not needed as it isn't coming up on their system that it needs one? Where do I go with this. thanks

They may be working to the 75k miles figure, your 62k miles figure is new to me so that needs clearing up with them

I wouldn't be unduly concerned but the gearbox will need a service soon especially if you cover 12-15k a year

New to me too. However this is what it dated in the service manual regarding hybrid e class. The only reason why I am concerned is because I feel coming to a stop isn't as smooth as it should as it jerks a little bit. Also when I am at a complete stop already, The car randomly jerks as if someone has tapped me from the back.

Without knowing your numberplate, the info I have says:
Initial service:
Change: 50000 km / 36 months
Normal:
Change: 125000 km / 60 months

This might be where the confusion is comming from as the interval changes after 50,000KM (31,250miles)

CL500 2009 says change at 40,000 .. did mine at 40,150 when I got it.

Yes lots of confusion on this over the years

W124 series - 4/5 spd scheduled for change every 36k
W210 series - 5spd sealed for life but most owners did a change sub 60k
W211 series - 7spd one fluid change at 37k
W212 series - 7spd one fluid change at 75k

Not sure about the 211 and 212 5spd boxes but suspect same regime as W210

Hi,
I have Mercedes w212 Hybrid 2014. First transmission oil was changed at 62k (should have changed at 75k). Now it is at 120k. I should go for transmission oil change for second time or will do it at 150k miles.

Someone obviously changed the gearbox oil early which is a good idea - it is definitely due now

You have to be careful with these service plans I had a thread on here a couple of years ago when I discovered that they should've changed my air filter and the spark plugs on the previous service.Eventually they conceded and changed them but only because Wayne Gates(who were doing the next service)asked me if they were due.16 x plugs not cheap.

No dipstick tube in the engine bay buddy , sorry . The bung as you call it is the same as the plug in the engine sump where the oil would drain from .
Why do you ask anyway ?
