Thank u , I’ve had it cleaned in June , working fine and prob done around 300 miles if that , then July the engine management light cane on again , got it booked in wi MB to c if any other fault is causing the light to come on , Terraclean who cleaned the dpf said they check for other faults b4 doing the clean , and said they cudnt find any , can’t believe how easy they clog up as I’m only doing short journeys on town roads

I’m not sure I would mention to MB that you had a Terraclean, just in case ?

I used the terraclean on an auris - it was useless. Get yourself a proper diagnostic tool - which costs £15 from aliexpress (tactrix open port full chip). Just a passthru device, and works with xentry. This way you can see the Ash content , soot content and previous regens. Otherwise you're just guessing.

Merc diagnostics. And it's yr short journeys that cause the issue. Something no Benz dealer tells you at point of purchase!! Get it sorted then make a plan to do a 60,70 mile run every 3, or 4 hundred miles preferably when you can maintain 60 odd mph on a duel carriage way or motorway. Again not something you are advised at pop.

Yup, the device is just a pass thru, still need xentry - not dealer level diagnostics without it.

Going into the sewerage system would be bad enough but if that drain was connected to a separated surface water drain the level of contamination at the local treatment plant would be far worse. Sickening that people feel this is acceptable behaviour let alone advertising and promoting it.

Not familiar with when your light should come on Neil. Should it come on at 100% full or at say 400%?. I think you still have a fault with any light coming on at only 300 miles since it was cleaned. Can you get someone with a compatible diagnostic tool to see for yourself if theres any codes stored? Any cylinder misses or vibrations from engine while driving? if not it prob is the temp sensor or pressure sensor

Its easy enough on my Vito but I'm not familiar with your exhaust set up

Car actually drives well , just won’t go past 3000rpm coz prob limp mode, wen light first cane on , I went to a local Garage who Used diagnostics and saud dpf was 220% full , cudnt c any other faults, so Duno how good his tool was , from then I found out it could b cleaned , so that’s what I tried

Only other thing I can think of filling the DPF that quick is bad injectors, as that was what happened with mine. Get live value readings from temp sender in the DPF first but I really think if that DPF was cleaned properly? and it filled that amount in 300 miles theres an over fuelling problem Neil or Dpf wasn't cleaned right at all

A boost leak will fill the DPF with soot pretty rapidly and give a check engine light in some cases.
